the vinyl version of Irrational Anthems is at Red Cat records on Main Street at 26th in Vancouver. I have solicited a few other National vinyl selling stores and it seems like most are interested in the CD only. If anyone has suggestions of local and wicked record stores that would be a good fit for the Irrational Vinyl--let me know--post a blog or comment on this one.
You can also buy the vinyl through the "store" tab at the top of this site. Or hey, send me a message through this site and we…

I'm not sure why I never picked this album up when it was new, but am enjoying the cuss out of it right now (thanks Mr. Fox). I feel sad that digital is becoming the way to go but that's life - no doubt this is a better option for re-releasing these records (I still have the s/t Limblifter disc and the two AoE records up on iTunes).
Q re: the double vinyl: is it available in any local record shops like Zulu, or online only?
Merry christmas folks!

I was just thinking about a Limblifter concert I went to back in 96. It was probably one of the best concerts I have ever went to. It was the first time I ever tried mushrooms and only the second time I had even been to a rock concert. But this is not the only reason I remember it. The Smalls and Limblifter was opening for 5440 at the Okanagan Music Festival in Penticton. I was in the front row high on mushrooms and had just finished getting shoved around in a mosh pit during The Smalls set. I w…

Todd Kerns and I have been talking about having a website dedicated to AOE.
I'd been sitting on the domain name forever so the other week I spent the afternoon making a ning site.
Here's a link to that if anyone is interested in my first band...

My vinyl copy arrived in the mail today. Yay vinyl! Everything looks great, and it's awesome to have the lyrics and to see how completely off I was in some of my guesses.
One question to Ryan or Meegee or anyone who knows what they're talking about: I went to the site on the back of the card included with the package, to download the tracks. However, 11:11 is not in the list of available downloads? Is this normal? How will I ever listen to it on the bus! My turntable doesn't fit in my pocket.

Ya'll have just over 25 hours to win a double vinyl and a bag to carry it!
Curious absence of goldfish, horses and birds!
Don't be afraid to fabricate something in photoshop! (no Jar Jar Binks please!)

Megan and I put together this site, based on Steve Bays' recommendation of Ning...
Now that the Hot Hot Heat record is finished, they are revving up to release it in the new year...
A few days ago they launched their new website which is, you guessed it, a Ning site!
They have posted two songs from the record, along with videos by Vancouver wunder-kids video-making/bloggers -The Futurists. These videos make me want to go party in the alley! They make this town look fun again, could that be true…

Set for re-release exclusively on iTunes worldwide on Dec 8th 2009
Limblifter -'Limblifter' (1996) and 'Bellaclava' (2000)
The Age of Electric - 'Untitled' (1995) and 'Make a Pest a Pet' (1997)
It's never bothered me that the back catalog of my two old groups have been out of print for years... despite being constantly inundated by people, demanding we make them available... I think we kinda liked it that way!
Universal made us an offer to re-release them a few years ago as one of those 20th…
