Anything I can do to help get Chop Chop on Edmonton radio? Sonic 102.9 would totally play it...

Thanks Ryan! Interesting how it's all come sort of full circle for you. And I always want to help out, any way I can. Let me know what I can do! I have been playing various tracks off Irrational Anthems on my show since it was released, but a bi-weekly show on Thursdays at midnight on an obscure university station in Winnipeg doesn't exactly have a giant listening audience.

Hello Kevan, Sending a song out to radio seems to be constantly evolving, it's all digital now, although I sent vinyl and CD copies to some of the radio people might be interested.
When we released our first AOE single in the nineties, I sent all the packages myself and called people all over the country myself... soon managers took over... then an independent radio promoter was hired... then the universal staff promoters... over the years it's all come back around, I've hired a friend named Zachary Forbes to send out and track the record. We don't have a huge record company behind us, so we need people to call and help all they can. And hopefully the listeners will respond to it naturally and we will create a demand for it to be played? I wouldn't be trying to push a song on radio that doesn't fit, Chop Chop really works on the radio so it seems to make sense!
If you want to help out let me know...

I have a strange question for you, Ryan. Or Meegee. Or someone who knows what they're talking about:

Could you detail the process of servicing one's single to commercial radio? I've always been curious about how that works, especially when it comes to the folks doing it on their own without a label to pick up all the actual work. Working in campus radio, I don't really get to see how any of it actually happens.
